1/4 - GENERAL APPEARANCE - Grooming & Attire

1/4 - PERSONALITY - Enthusiasm & Friendliness

1/4 - STAGE PRESENCE - Poise & Confidence

1/4 - INTERVIEW - Speaking Ability & Content

*Baby, Tiny, & Little divisions will not have an interview

 

(Although make-up is allowed in all age divisions, we encourage the three younger groups to only wear light make-up if any at all for formal wear. Any amount of make-up is allowed for optional competitions, but not necessary.)

 

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE (for ages 7+)

SATURDAY

5:30pm - 7:00pm - REGISTRATION / CHECK-IN in Avon Room for all Contestants who want to arrive early

6:00pm - OPTIONAL Private INTERVIEW with Judges for AGES 2-6 yrs. ($25 fee for this optional event)

7:00pm - Royalty, Contestant & Family VEGAS Theme PARTY (Free)

9:00pm-9:30pm - REGISTRATION / CHECK-IN in Avon Room

 

SUNDAY

8:15am -9:00am - REGISTRATION / CHECK IN for those who didnt attend on Saturday

9:00am - Private Individual INTERVIEWS with judges begin at 9AM (mandatory for AGES 7 and older)

10:00am - NOON - PAGEANT / FORMAL WEAR, all STAGE OPTIONALS, & AWARDS for AGES 0-6

Break for Lunch

12:45pm - 1:15pm - REHEARSAL for show (AGES 7 and Older)

2:00pm - PAGEANT: Formal Wear, Stage Optionals & AWARDS (for AGES 7 and Older)

 

Groups AGES 0-6 Yrs: You will have REGISTRATION, PAGEANT and AWARDS on SUNDAY MORNING ONLY! These 3 younger groups will be completely done by noon!

 

 

We will have CHECK-IN /REGISTRATION, and VEGAS THEME PARTY on Saturday (These events on Saturday are optional to attend ...but a great way to meet and mingle with your fellow contestants!! COME HAVE FUN WITH OLD PAGEANT FRIENDS and MAKE NEW ONES at the VEGAS PARTY (Wear RED, BLACK, or WHITE)... We will have music, games & Prizes for best outfits :)

 

 

AWARDS

  • 11 PAGEANT QUEENS (one in each age division) will win a beautiful Crown, Trophy, Satin Sash, flowers, pageant jewelry, sceptor, invitation to attend other pageants as a royal guest, and full pageant sponsorship to the Miss U.S. of America Pageant to be held in August where you can win thousands in prizes

  • THREE HIGH POINT QUEENS will ALSO WIN A $500 CASH AWARD  (Pageant High-Point Queens: 0-6 yrs, 7-15 Yrs, and 16+ Yrs)

  • GOLD & SILVER QUEENS - Crown, Sash, and Trophy

  • 11 PAGEANT PRINCESSES (First Runners-Up in each age division) will in a Beautiful Crown, Trophy, & Official Princess Sash

  • PAGEANT RUNNERS-UP - Trophy

  • SUPERMODEL - Crown, Sash, Trophy, and a CASH Award

  • SPIRIT of PAGEANTRY - Plaque & Subscription to Pageantry Magazine and photo in future issue of magazine

  • GOLDEN SPIRIT AWARDS - Plaque

  • TALENT WINNERS (in each age division) will win a Trophy. Three high point talent winners will also win a Beautiful Crown and Sash. Runners-up will receive a Medallion. Overall Talent winner will WIN a CASH Award.

  • MODEL WINNERS (in each age division) will win a Trophy. Three high point model winners will also win a Beautiful Crown and Sash. Runners-up will receive a Medallion. Overall Model winner will WIN a CASH Award.

  • OUTFIT OF CHOICE MODEL WINNERS (in each age division) will win a Trophy. Three high point Outfit of Choice winners will also win a Beautiful Crown and Sash. Runners-up will receive a Medallion. Overall Outfit of Choice winner will WIN a CASH Award.

  • PHOTOGENIC WINNERS (in each age division) will win a Trophy. Three high point photogenic winners will also win a Beautiful Crown and Sash. Runners-up will receive a Medallion. Overall Photogenic winner will WIN a CASH Award.

  • MISS NEW ENGLAND COVER MODEL &  COVER GIRL will each win Crown, Sash, Trophy, Gifts & a CASH Award

  • MISS POPULARITY will win Crown, Sash, & Trophy

 

ALL CONTESTANTS will RECEIVE A BEAUTIFUL TROPHY, RIBBON, & GIFTS!

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

  • YOUR AGE as of the pageant day will determine what age group you will compete in. The director has the right to request valid proof of age at any time

  • Contestants ages 0 to 6 may have a parent with them on stage

  • A dressing room will be provided by the pageant officials for all contestants.

  • Only one companion (ex. mother, hairdresser, etc.) will be allowed in at a time with each contestant. ONLY FEMALES can enter the dressing room. If you require a large space, we suggest you stay overnight at the Host Hotel, so you can have your own room to change in.

  • Contestants must live in, or work in, or be a student, or own property in ANY NORTHEAST STATE including any New England state, NY, NJ, or PA.

  • MISS contestants can be single, divorced, with or without children

  • MRS. contestants must be married as of pageant day. Director may request proof/ marriage certificate.

  • ELITE MS & CLASSIC MS contestants can be single, married or divorced / with or without children.

  • Points will be deducted if time limits are exceeded in Talent & Modeling competitions.

  • Talent time limit: 2 minutes

  • Outfit of Choice Modeling limit: 75 seconds

  • Modeling time limit: 60 seconds

  • Poor Sportsmanship will not be allowed and will be grounds for disqualification without refund

  • Past pageant winners in this pageant may compete again in same age division as long as they take a two year break from competing in this pageant (the two year break does not pertain to the Baby, Tiny, and Little Division winners (they can compete the next year).

  • NO CONFETTI nor GLITTER can be thrown or dropped on the stage or dance floor during any performance

PAGEANT INFORMATION

  • CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS - ONLY TWO OUTFITS are required for the pageant; a Short Dress/or Gown for stage and Interview Outfit. These can be any style of color of contestants choice! The Interview Outfit will also be worn for the Opening Number during the pageant for ages 7+ years.

  • OPTIONAL PHOTOGENIC - This competition is open to all age divisions. No Limit on number of photos submitted, but $30 fee applies to each photo. Photos can be wallet size up to 8.5 x 11, color or black & white.  Name & age must be on the back of photo. All photos will be collected at registration.

  • OPTIONAL MODELING - Outfit can be sports related, a cute simple outfit, or glitzy attire. Make your own fashion statement! Two separate routines are allowed with a 1 minute time limit each. Modeling ability & personality will be scored. Accessories and handheld props allowed. Pageant supplies music for this category.

  • OUTFIT of CHOICE MODELING - You will be judged 50% on the actual outfit, and 50% on how you model the outfit. Any style outfit is allowed. Costumes and swimsuits are acceptable. 75 seconds time limit on this catagory and you can supply your own music to go with your outfit if you wish.

  • OPTIONAL TALENT - You can perform one or two separate talent routines with a maximum time limit of 2 minutes each. Acts that may be dangerous to our audience will not be allowed. This competition will not be available for Baby Division.

  • If supplying TALENT and/ or OUTFIT OF CHOICE MUSIC it should be EMAILED TO: SDSproductions@yahoo.com    Please PUT CONTESTANT NAME, AGE, NAME OF PAGEANT "NEW ENGLAND", and the Optional event name in the email memo! Please email MUSIC by the Thursday before the pageant. This deadline is important! If music is emailed after the Thursday, points may be deducted for that optional event.

  • MISS NEW ENGLAND COVER MODEL & COVER GIRL - The contestants who sell the most ADS for the official Pageant PROGRAM BOOK. You can request advertising info and we will mail you a packet.

  • MISS POPULARITY AWARD - The contestant from each show with the biggest cheering section in the audience will be named Miss Popularity & receive a beautiful Trophy, Sash, and Crown.

  • RECOMMENDING FRIENDS - Feel free to tell your friends about our pageant by directing them to our website, tell them to put your name on the application (Where did you hear of this pageant?). If you recommend one friend who enters - you will receive a BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP Trophy, or a FREE Optional Event. For each additional friend who you recommend that enters, you will receive a $100 CASH Award. Friends cannot be on our mailing list to qualify for this award.

  • GOLDEN SPIRIT AWARDS - We award Golden Spirit Plaques to 5th time Participants! Please let  us know if this is your 5th year competing in the Miss New England Pageant. (Must let us know by 2 weeks before the pageant)

  • If you compete in modeling and photogenic competitions you will be eligible for the SUPERMODEL AWARD (no additional fee)
