1/3 - GENERAL APPERANCE - Grooming & Attire

1/3 - INTERVIEW - Speaking Ability & Personality

1/3 - ONE OPTIONAL COMPETITION - Photogenic, Talent, or Model Routine

 

Contestants highest Optional score will count 1/3 toward overall pageant score

 

NOTE: SCORING, AWARDS,  & SCHEDULE for BABY, TINY, & LITTLE DIVISIONS can be Viewed on the actual ONLINE APPLICATION

* Baby, Tiny, & Little divisions will not have an interview

 

(Although make-up is allowed in all age divisions, we encourage the three younger groups to only wear light make-up if any at all for formal wear. Any amount of make-up is allowed for optional competitions, but not necessary.)

Interviews with judges begin at 9AM

Rehearsal for show

Break for meal then PAGEANT & AWARDS begin at 3PMm

 

AWARDS (for ages 7+)

• 8 QUEENS WILL WIN - a $500 CASH Award, Large Trophy, Official Crown, Satin Sash, Photo featured in National Pageant Magazines, Pageant Jewelry, Special Gifts, Sceptor, Subscription to Pageantry Magazine, an invitation to attend other functions & Couto Pageants Royal guest.

• HIGH-POINT QUEEN - Will instead win a $2500 CASH Award

• 8 PRINCESS WILL WIN - Crown, Sash & Trophy

• GOLD & SILVER QUEENS WILL WIN - Crown, Sash, and Trophy.

• OVERALL PHOTOGENIC, MODEL, OUTFIT of CHOICE & TALENT will each receive Crown, Sash, Trophy and CASH Award

• SUPERMODEL AWARD - Crown, Sash, Trophy & a CASH award.

• MISS US of AMERICA Spirit Queen will win a crown, sash, and trophy

• MISS U.S. of AMERICA COVER MODEL & COVER GIRL - Crown, Sash, Trophy, Gifts & a CASH Award

• MISS POPULARITY - A Trophy, Crown & Sash will be awarded to the contestant with the biggest cheering section in the audience

• MISS CONGENIALITY - a Trophy will be awarded to the Most Friendly Contestant This will be jugded by the contestants.

 

 

ALL CONTESTANTS will RECEIVE a Beautiful Crown & Personalized State Sash, Ribbon,

Trophy, Official Souvenir Program Book & Gifts

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

• Your age as of the Pageant Day will determine what age group you will compete in. The director has the right to request valid proof of age at any time.

• Contestants ages 0 to 6 may have a parent with them on stage

• The AGE DIVISIONS 7 and older must have 10 contestants in the age division COMPETING in order to receive the full $500 Cash Award. If a division has less than 10 contestant a smaller cash prize will be awarded. The $2,500 CASH AWARD for High-Point Queen is guaranteed regardless of total contestant numbers.  All Queens will also win age appropriate Gifts.

• A dressing room will be provided by pageant officials for all contestants. Only one companion (ex. mother, hairdresser, etc.) will be allowed in at a time with each contestant. ONLY FEMALES can enter the dressing room. If you require a large space, we suggest you stay overnight at the Host Hotel, so you can have your own room to change in.

• Highest optional score will count toward Pageant

• Contestants must be a resident of the USA

• You are able to win both the High-Point Pageant title AND any high point optional titles

• MISS contestants can be single, divorced, with or without children

• MRS. contestants must be married as of pageant day. Director may request proof/ marriage certificate

• ELITE MS & CLASSIC MS contestants can be single, married, or divorced, with or without children.

• Poor Sportsmanship will not be allowed and will be grounds for disqualification without refund.

• Points will be deducted if time limits are exceeded in Talent & Modeling competitions. 

• Talent time limit: 2 minutes

• Modeling time limit: 60 seconds

• Outfit of Choice time limit: 75 seconds

• Sibling discounts on fees may be given, call for info.

• NO CONFETTI nor GLITTER can be thrown or dropped on the stage or dance floor during any performance

• Past pageant winners in this pageant may compete again in same age division as long as they take a two year break from competing in this pageant (the two year break does not pertain to the Baby, Tiny, & Little Division winners, they can compete the next year).

• Contestants ARE ALLOWED to compete on SUNDAY ONLY, But WILL HAVE TO ENTER the PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION for the 1/3 Optional SCORE as all stage Optionals events take place on Saturday. ~ Note: 1 point will be deducted off the final score.

PAGEANT INFORMATION

• CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS - TWO OUTFITS are required for the pageant; a Short Dress/or Gown for stage, and Interview Outfit for when you meet the judges. These can be any style or color of contestants choice! The Interview Outfit will also be worn for the Opening Number during the pageant

• OPTIONAL PHOTOGENIC - Photos (natural or glitz) can be wallet size up to 8.5 x 11, color or black & white. Name and age must be on back of photos. All photos will be collected at registration on pageant weekend. Limit 4 photos can be submitted. ($60 fee applies to each)

• OPTIONAL MODELING - Outfit can be sports related, a cute simple outfit, or glitzy attire. Make your own fashion statement! Two separate routines are allowed with a 1 minute time limit each. Modeling ability & personality will be scored. Accessories and handheld props are allowed. Pageant supplies music for this category.

• OUTFIT OF CHOICE - You will be judged 50% on the actual outfit, and 50% on how you model the outfit. Any style outfit is allowed. Swimsuits are acceptable. 75 second time limit on this catagory and you can supply your own music to go with your outfit if you wish.

• OPTIONAL TALENT - You can perform two separate talent routines with a maximum time limit of 2 minutes each. Acts that may be dangerous to our audience will not be allowed. RULE for TALENT TIMING... You are allowed TWO separate TALENT ROUTINES at 2 minutes max EACH ($60 each) OR  you can do ONE TALENT up to 4 minutes max. ($120 since you are paying for two time slots) You will only get one score if you chose to do the lengthier talent. Note: If you go over two minutes on TALENT and you do not prepay for the two slots, you will lose points. The amount of points depends on how many seconds you go over.

• If supplying TALENT and OUTFIT of CHOICE MUSIC it should be EMAILED TO: SDSproductions@yahoo.com  Please PUT CONTESTANT NAME, AGE, NAME OF PAGEANT "US of AMERICA", and the Optional Event name in the email memo! Please email MUSIC no later than the Thursday before the pageant. This deadline is important! If it is emailed after the Thursday, points may be deducted from that optional. 

• MISS U.S. of AMERICA COVER MODEL & COVER GIRL - The contestants who sell the most ADS for the official Pageant PROGRAM BOOK. You can request advertising info and we will mail you a packet.

• RECOMMENDING FRIENDS - Feel free to tell your friends about our pageant by directing them to our website. Tell them to put your name on the application (Where did you hear of this pageant?). If you recommend one friend who enters - you will receive a BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP Trophy OR A FREE OPTIONAL. For each additional friend that enters you will receive a $150 CASH Award. Friends cannot be Past Contestants on our mailing list to qualify for this award.

• GOLDEN SPIRIT AWARDS - We award Golden Spirit Plaques to 5th time Participants! Please let us know if this is your 5th year competing in the Miss U.S. of AMERICA Pageant. (Must let us know at least 2 weeks prior to the pageant)

• PHOTO FOR PROGRAM BOOK - Must be emailed to us as it gets closer to the pageant! We will send you a reminder. We must receive it at least 3 weeks before pageant in order to be in the book.
